Liturgical use

The ewer and plates are the traditional furnishing for the lavabo rite — the washing of the priest's hands during Holy Mass — and for the celebration of Baptism in parishes. Hand-chiselling gives each piece its own distinctive character, making these items suited to artistically significant churches, chapels of religious orders and sanctuaries where the quality of liturgical furnishings expresses care for divine worship.
