Liturgical use
The chasuble is the principal vestment worn by the celebrant during Holy Mass. The Evangelists' embroidery on the orphrey makes it a vestment suited to the solemnities of Ordinary Time and the feasts of the holy Apostles. The ivory/white colour renders it appropriate for feasts of the Lord, of Our Lady and of saints who are not martyrs, in accordance with the norms of the Roman liturgical calendar. The included stole completes the celebrant's vesture.
