Liturgical use
The jug and plate are the instrument of the Lavabo rite during Holy Mass: the minister pours water over the celebrant's hands before the Eucharistic Prayer, a ritual purification gesture that precedes the consecration. Also used in baptismal rites, the hand-chiselled brass jug is a quality choice that endures over time for the sacristies of parishes, sanctuaries and religious communities.
Craftsmanship
Hand chiselling guarantees crisp, deep raised motifs: the hammered surface of the jug catches the light differently from every angle, enhancing the liturgical gesture it accompanies.
