Liturgical use
Consecration crosses are the twelve crosses which, according to the Roman Rite, are affixed to the interior walls of a church at the time of its solemn consecration. A candle is lit at each cross during the anniversary of the dedication. The Jubilee and indulgence version meets specific canonical requirements and is suited to churches designated as places of pilgrimage or indulgence.
