Liturgical use

The open offertory ciborium is intended to receive the hosts of the faithful during the preparation of the gifts at Mass, or to hold the already-consecrated hosts for the distribution of Communion. The open, lidless format facilitates presentation at the altar and distribution. The four available diameters — from 10 to 16 cm — allow the appropriate size to be chosen according to the assembly: from a private chapel to a parish with a large congregation of the faithful.
