Gold-plated brass stellarium with twelve stars: a circular crown in gold-plated brass with twelve eight-pointed stars evenly distributed around the perimeter and a fixing plate with anchor holes, designed to complete the iconography of Marian statues.

Liturgical and devotional use

The twelve-star crown is the iconographic complement of the Woman of the Apocalypse (Rev 12:1), traditionally adopted for statues of the Immaculate Conception and other Marian representations. It differs from a flat halo in that the stars are arranged in a full circle around the head of the statue. Suited to churches, chapels and Marian shrines wishing to complete their statues with traditional biblical iconography.
