Liturgical use
The cruets hold the unconsecrated wine and water that the priest or altar servers bring to the altar before the Eucharist. At the Offertory, the two liquids are poured into the chalice: the wine will become the Blood of Christ, while the water symbolises the union of the divine and human natures. The quality of the finish makes them suitable for festive liturgy as well as for weekday parish celebrations.
