Liturgical use

The wall tabernacle is intended for Eucharistic reposition in churches where the layout of the sanctuary does not allow an altar-top position. The perimeter sunburst amplifies the visual presence of the tabernacle, signalling to the faithful the place of the real presence of Christ. The Eucharistic decoration on the door — chalice, wheat ears and vine clusters — renders in image the mystery of the Holy Mass.

Craftsmanship

The door's low-relief is produced by cast modelling and finished by hand: the depth of the engraving gives plasticity to the image even in spaces with lateral lighting.
