Liturgical use
The hanging lamp is the traditional furnishing for indicating the presence of the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle: the perpetual light before the Eucharist is prescribed by canon law and liturgical tradition. Suited to churches, chapels of the Blessed Sacrament and oratories, it is suspended from the ceiling or a dedicated beam. The liquid-wax version ensures continuity of the flame; the electrical variant is available to order for settings where liquid wax is not practicable.
