Liturgical and devotional use
Saint Dominic Savio, a pupil of Don Bosco canonised in 1954 as one of the youngest saints in history, is the patron of Salesian oratories and of young people in difficulty. The 126 cm statue is intended for churches and oratories of the Salesian family, for Catholic schools and for the chapels of youth institutions inspired by Don Bosco's preventive method. His sculptural presence encourages young people towards everyday holiness through the recognition of a model of their own age.
