Liturgical and devotional use
Saint Faustina Kowalska (5 October) is the apostle of Divine Mercy, canonised by Saint John Paul II in 2000. The kneeling posture represents her characteristic contemplative attitude before the Blessed Sacrament. The statue is suited to chapels dedicated to Divine Mercy, to convents of the Sisters of Mercy, to parishes celebrating the feast of Divine Mercy on Low Sunday and to spirituality centres promoting the devotion that spread from Kraków throughout the world.
