Use
Saint Anthony the Abbot is the patron of domestic animals and livestock farmers: his statue is found in the churches of rural communities, in farmyard chapels and in the oratories of agricultural villages. The blessing of animals on 17 January is the celebration in which his iconography is central. The 160 cm size is suited to large niches, the façades of rural churches and covered outdoor spaces. The pig at his feet is the unmistakable iconographic attribute of the hermit saint.
